Looking good. I read through the whole thread, but I can't remember, how did you paint your bike? Spray can, Automotive paint, powdercoat?
Live chat with Pee Wee right now, if anyone cares. From his twitte account;

nice bike! wish we where all closer..be awesome to get a army of x1's rolling around.
I imagine there would be some very bewildered people were that to happen. O_o
ya but it would be awesome!.. i usually get a lot of stares..the occasional pee wee! or thats a pee wee bike..followed by laughter.
Jaime,
Are you talking about the bottom of the steering tube where the pivot bolt goes through? I have two of the newer style which is like both the numbers you posted, but I do believe the ones in the movie have "S" bolts not "AS" bolts.
Correct"S" bolts will run you 25.00 by themselves, that's a bummer.
Also that one that ended for 52.00 was pitted. But I supposed since the rear arms need painting anyhow.

fitting some skirts I think they still need work, these are roughs before getting metal cut. BTW these are Ed's designs. I think I just added the small bracket on the right side that goes down to the rear fender bracket mount.
BTW I mounted my plastic tank, made plastic mounts that replicate the stock DX mounts.
Also this is where I basically ended with the tiger head.

The tiger head looks pretty good Abe, the brows are a bit too defined maybe, but not by much. Are you getting the skirts cut on a waterjet as discussed a few pages back with KansasJack? The mockups look perfect.
Reddigger, I believe Ed will be making some skirts to sell. I think I might be modifiying them a bit more.
I hear you on the eyebrows, I tried radiusing them on the bottom side. I hate over working it. but it's better that an original one with the jewel on top.
I got my grips in the mail yesterday. They're first piece of the bike that I've managed to get my hands on. I've got so much catching up to do, lol.
1) Rustoleum Painter's Touch Multi-Purpose Gloss Apple Red
Amazon.com: Rust-Oleum 249124 Painter's Touch Multi-Purpose Spray Paint, Gloss Apple Red, 12-Ounce: Home Improvement
I think this is the right one, but I bought it at Home Depot. I chemical stripped it, primed it and then painted it. Its coated with a clear acrylic gloss (rattle can also).
Its not perfect, but it only cost probably about $20 in supplies and time.
2) I think its called a conduit bracket or something like that. I rebent it into a circle and put a bolt through the holes and the hole on the compass mounting bracket. It isn't the right compass, but I liked it and it was only $8.
3) Thats the cable housing for my shifter cable. I am test fitting it before painting it red.
4) Yep. On ebay from Bicycle Bones. $95 shipped IIRC.
