Some of them look like they came out of the same molds as the Riddell helmets

It is all about making &#036;&#036;&#036; and is a great avenue for them, the helmets would go great with there 45 scaled miniatures.

    Besides, they are bringing out the much coveted and wanted Riddel TIE pilot helmet&#33;

I don&#39;t like the vader but the rest are cool. The vader just seems out of proportion (plus I&#39;m partial to the ANH which this is most definitely not).

Are they ever going to release the .45 Qui-Gon?

    Hmmm...

    <div class='quotetop'></div>
    "New and Improved" Riddell Helmets:
    Stormtrooper Helmet
    X-Wing Helmet

    New Designs:
    Clone Trooper Helmet
    TIE Fighter Helmet[/b]
Wonder what will be "improved" on the Stormy? Just another way to get the people that already have all five Riddells to buy a new one?

Doubt very seriously they&#39;ll be going for &#036;29.99

If these are the same ones on Forbidden Planet&#39;s website http://www.forbiddenplanet.com/starwars.shtml
then the TIE pilot has hoses the stormtrooper looks ANH and much cooler and there is a rebel fleet pilot.

    They are listed at £6.29

There are no Fett mini helmets and it is listed as a set of 6 so with ST, TIE, Vader, RFT, C3PO and Xwing looks like no Fett.

Are these the same mini helmets? The ones shown don&#39;t have a manufacturers name next to them.

    Cheers Chris.

MR&#39;s .45 product line holds no interest for me.

The Yoda FX I like. Depending on the price I might pick that up. I do have to agree with Oldken: What&#39;s the hold up on the EpI Obi FX? I had hoped that it would be next now that Maul&#39;s is out.

I hope that vader is just a prototype and that they are working on a better one.I also hope they will not be that expensive hopefuly they will be less then what riddell charged.

Im not saying anything bad about the vader it would be nice to see a more accurate version of it.

I really liked the Riddel helmets but figured that out too late. Once I decided I wanted some they were discontinued products.

I think this is a great idea for MR and a neat way to supplement their scaled offerings.

Nope, these are very cheap and much smaller than the .45 Riddells from what I&#39;ve seen of them. Definately not the same thing that MR will be selling.

The tiny ones are the ones made by TOMY, they are about the size of a 12" action figures head.

I&#39;m sort of disapointed to see MR expanding their non replica line. This stuff doesn&#39;t ineterst me at all. I mean the riddle helmets are still fairly common, and to re-release a bunch of helmet that you can still find on e-bay for relatively cheap doesn&#39;t make alot of sense to me.

I&#39;m mainly excited about the new ones. I was working at a long gone collectibles store called Big Entertainment when the original helmets came out, and I have the entire set sitting above my computer. I have always been upset that they never released the TIE Helmet, so I&#39;m kinda thrilled that they&#39;re going to be releasing that. I see no need to pick up the re-issues, but the Clone Trooper also sounds good.

Since I have limited space and finances, the smaller scale pieces do kind of appeal to me. *shrugs*

I&#39;m interested in seeing what they do with them, and what the price point is going to be. I believe the bulk of the helmets back in, what, 97? were around &#036;79 to &#036;99 if not a bit higher, with 3PO being at the low end, Fett, X-Wing, and Stormy all at the same price point, and Vader being the highest. But I&#39;m not certain, I do have the memory of a goldfish...

    Ooo...a castle...

I think the news is terrible. I mean if MR is now going to make
bobbleheads, frig magnets, medallions, mini helmets, how are
they going to find the time to make real prop replicas? They
couldn&#39;t even get the real helmets done completely right on the
2nd try after 2 years&#33; and now they are going to introduce
    20 new lines?

I don&#39;t think MR is making all those products - just distributing from select partners like their Medicom figures. I&#39;m sure their in-house creative energies will be focused on prop replicas and like collectibles.

I&#39;d love to see these updated, which I&#39;m sure they will be . I can&#39;t wait to see the newer helmets. the clone troopers for instance. I&#39;ve also been waiting for the TIE pilot helmet too, so they have a customer in me. I&#39;m happy to display these alongside my mini sabers as they are a great size to show off. IMHO...
