Am In the middle of building a Fallout 3 Gobi scout rifle The build is no problem where I am having issues is the paint The std desert cammo is no problem it is the grid or screen like texture covering it I am assuming it is supposed to replicate carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is easy to fake using drawer liner. but this is a much finer texture I am sorry I do not know how to link pics but it is in the fallout 3 wiki as the gobi campaign scout rifle. I thought about painting it the base cammo color ( the color the texture would be then stretching or at least covering it with window screen and then airbrushing on the desert cammo thus I hope leaving the grid pattern the problem is if it (the window screen) shifts all is lost and there is some complex angles around the barrel and bipod. Any Ideas from some of you more experienced prop painters,
