NEED HELP! Wampa Containment Warning Sign idea

Hey gang,

So I was thinking of the next shirt idea and it came to me... the Wampa Warning sign that C3-PO rips off of the containment door leading the unsuspecting Snowtroopers to their demise (cut scene from Empire Strikes Back).



Why was this cut? Great idea, and it makes 3PO look "kinda" cool.

Anyways, I was thinking about making this design int a shirt AND a metal sign to hang where ever you like.

I NEED REFERENCE PICS! I'm going to try and freeze frame my dvd footage at home tonight, but would greatly appreciate any help.

Wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the idea either. Thanks!

I had no idea this was actually filmed! I remember reading about it in the picture book version when I was in grade school, sounds like a cool idea!

That would be an awesome clip to see!

Didn't they use that same sign in the Shadows video game?

You see the sign in the film. There is a scene where Han and Leia are running (away from Snowtroopers) and C-3PO is about 20 feet behind them. Right has he is about to turn to look at the sign - the shot breaks away. This is right before the ceiling caves in.

IIRC it was cut because they actually filmed a rather lengthy Empire vs. Wampas scene. The film was already too long, so this whole scene had to go, hence the deletion of this sticker removal scene. I remember seeing 3-PO rip off the sticker in the original trailer as well.

By this, do you mean the "Behind the Magic" CD Rom? There's definately a lot of stills from that scene on there, but I don't seem to recall any actual footage of it. I have it upstairs, so I'll try to have a look when I get a free moment.

Fridge magnets are a great idea, the font looks like Aurabesh (spelling) The photos also serve as great reference for the snowtrooper backpacks

Wow, thanks for all of the responses guys! OldKen... that is brilliant! Consider it done once I have recreated the artwork.

Paper props as well. They are easy enough.

Someone mentioned the markings/language... what was it again? It would be easier to recreate if I knew it was a code font or something that I could type out instead of drawing by hand.

Thanks for the great HD shot as well. Can't quite figure out what the white smear is along the middle/bottom. Snow?
