Ding, ding, ding, ding! A HEAVIALLY modified DST communicator.
Sanded off the plastic mid plate and made an aluminum plate. Filled in the try me tab and the battery thingy on the back side. Painted flat black. Replaced the screws with brass screws. Painted the speaker gold. Used heavy brushed aluminum foil on the control panel. Replaced the knobs with T-jet hubs. Replaced the whole awful plastic crap light things with real rhinestones and I use hex nuts for the "washers" under the rhinestones. The light still shines through nicely with them in place and they fit snug as you can see. Then I used a Matt White (Awesome) Alpha comm moire ring and moire pattern to top it all off. I added a brass winder just because! I left the notches in the lid wheels so that I would not have to add a stop to it. I plan on putting a piece of velcro on the back. A labor of love, this one was.

Wow! I was kind of thinking it was the AA b/c of the grain pattern, but it seemed impossible. You put a ton of work into that. Great job!
