My New Sleevegun

This is a sleevegun I just made based on the old Wild Wild West one that Robert Conrad used. I remember the great pictures everyone had posted a while back from my original sleevegun. This one is based off of Indy Mogul's and thesonofabob quick draw rigs from youTube. It works like a charm, and I can attach anything to it from derringers to wooden stakes.

It's made from an old drawer slide, a couple of springs, some L-brackets and an aluminum tube to hold the monofilament release.

I thought of the wrist dart used by Roger Moore's Bond. This is cool too!

Does it make a loud noise when activated? How is the gun/stake attach to it, and how do you get said weapon off of the rig and into your hand?

Just a small click as the main slide stops. I have thought of several ways to attach a gun or stake. I am working on a clamp with a strong magnet bottom that can attach to a derringer handle or be screwed up through a wooden stake. The magnet would just attach to the slide.

Or I might put several tapped holes in it to hold any number of items to screw on.

How does it release?

A piece of monofilament runs from the L-shaped piece through an aluminum tube on the side to a ring on my finger. When I flex my wrist, the L-shaped piece releases the slide which is held taut by a spring.

You could attach a lightsaber to it as well.

Aww cool. I made one of these for my portfolio but was no where near as slick as this rig, exact same operation though. I attached a pen to one which provides great effect.

An issue I did have though was that the amount of travel from the slide was not enough to either have a gun reach the hand in the right place, or the gun wasn't hidden up the sleeve well enough.

Lovely piece of work, I've watched many a film and TV programme with sleeve holsters and always wanted one.
