My Aliens Pulse Rifle
The counter is sweet. When the clip is removed, it lights up as 00. When the clip is installed, it lights up as 95. The coolest feature is that it counts down as you shoot, per BB. That is awesome! I also really like the pump/shotgun feature. It has an aluminum sleeve in it that closes, hiding the grenade. Then you rack it back and it exposes the grenade. Now it didn't come with a grenade, it came with a plastic shotgun shell. I replaced that with an SD Studios grenade. The stock has a working pin that allows you to move the stock and lock it in multiple positions, which is pretty cool. The shroud is plastic, and the plates are metal that hold it together. I bought a Cybergun Thompson from Kapowee. It is mostly metal and very heavy! I bought it for $50, as a parts gun. It works, but was missing the charging handle. I called Kapowee, and they are sending me a new one, which is very nice! The negatives: there are several inaccuracies but looks good! I do not like the stock on it, even though it has a couple of positions that lock it in place. The fact that it isn't 1 piece is disappointing. I don't like that you have to screw on a plastic buttpad on the stock. I wish someone offered a replacement. If anyone has a source for a replacement stock that will work in the airsoft, please let me know!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jhusel |

He's always extremely busy, but I believe he's also just had a massive relocation of home, workshop, storage and everything.

Re: My Aliens Pulse Rifle
Looks really good. I'm glad to see you have a pulse rifle back in your collection. Here is the thread for my build. It has a few detailed photo's of the stock I made. I hope they help.

Re: My Aliens Pulse Rifle
Funny - I took delivery of mine at the weekend too! Mine's built on a Tokyo Marui M1A1. I'm looking forward to weathering it and to machining and installing an M40 grenade. I agree that the stock feels a bit fragile. Stapleton13's metal version is beautiful. I also find extracting the short mag pretty fiddly. I'm hoping to make up a mag with a replica cap attached, which will both make it easier and more movie accurate. Overall, despite its one or two shortcomings, I absolutely love it!

Re: My Aliens Pulse Rifle
Nice lookin' PR
![]() I really need to rebuild my MiM kit. The glue cracked and now the whole thing is falling apart. I already own a TM Thompson, maybe I should go the airsoft route and get the kit. -Fred |

Re: My Aliens Pulse Rifle
I love the G&P airsoft PR kits. I know they are hard to find these days. I heard G&P ceased manufacturing but they seem to make them still so I'm confused. I also emailed them and asked if they would ever consider a Terminator plasma rifle. I'd take airsoft, 6mm or 8mm or better yet, paintball. There are glow in the dark paintballs and that would light up the night sky nicely with "splash damage" on whatever object you shot
But yeah pulse rifle looks great! |
