I thought I saw somewhere that MR plans to make a Commander Gree wearable clonetrooper helmet? does anyone know if this is true, and have their been any photos. I wonder also if their BOBA FETT helm is still planning to come out?

They confirmed to me at this summers comic con that they are going to do a Gree, although I think its only going to be another ssimple colour variation on the red, yellow, blue, white theyve already done. I doubt there will be weathering

AFAIK the Boba's due to come out in time for the 30th Anniv next summer, although they did say the Vader and Clone's would be out for RotS

ok, thanks. I think MR would have a winner on their hands if they made the Commander CODY helm, or maybe BLY with the Binocs...just something different from the usual red, blue and white plain ole looking helms.

Yeah, the airbrushed camo pattern looks amateurish in MR's pics of the Gree. I hope they look better in person.

To speculate will this still happen since they dont have the license after the end of the year? or will they try to pump them out the door?

Well I get the impression their Boba's not far from completion in which case they could easily get it finshed and on pre-order by summer, for maybe a halloween delivery?

Here has been my very confusing experience regarding the Cmdr. Gree bucket.

I received an email regarding the pre-order for this helmet the day of the license loss announcement. So, I send customer service an email asking if they were still doing this. They responded yes.

This is where is gets weird. I called MR today and spoke with a female, Jazz. At first, Jazz tells me they ARE NOT going to produce this helmet. When I explained that her explanation was contrary to what I've already been told by another employee via email. Jazz told me again that they were not going to be producing this. When I asked why MR would be taking almost $200,000 worth of orders when they have no intention of producing a product, she said that they would forward the orders to whom ever will do the production. I then asked her why MR would send an email reporting that this product would be ready for fall 2007 delivery.

This is where it gets even weirder...

Jazz stated to me, "Oh, I got confused. We ARE doing this." What she was confused about is beyond me. So, I asked her which it was, are they producing this or not. She told me they are, but only for CS members. She then asked if I was a member. When I told her no, and explained the problems with the logic of buying a $50 membership for one item, then getting a$40 discount (for the 10% off) for the helmet...she stated "Well, I guess it just depends on how bad you want the helmet." Add to that, she told me that the 10% was NOT for this helmet.

That prompted me to ask how a person, such as myself who might consider a CS membership just to get this helmet was supposed to know this, (as it's only $10 extra - after the supposed 10% discount). Jazz stated, "Well, I suppose you wouldn't. But you would find out when you placed the order for the helmet."

Nice...they get you to cough up $50 for the CS membership with the advertised promotion that you would get a 10% discount, only for you to find out AFTER THE CS PURCHASE, that you CAN'T get the advertised 10% discount. It was then I asked her for her name, and ended the conversation. I might add that she was difficult to understand at times.

As this was my second bad experience with MR. I can say their customer service is very disappointing. I will be forwarding this to "Amy" if someone can get me her screen name or email.

When they announced the CS this year they stated that the 10% would not apply to the CS exclusives, but everything else.

That's fine...but for the casual observer or purchaser who stumbles across these things, that doesn't help at all. It is what it looks like - A 10% off for ALL purchases. Unintentional, maybe, but at the very least this is a bait tactic.

So, care now to explain Jazz's inability to properly tell me what the hell was going on along with her attitude? I'm sure that you will be able to provide one which will be of this "small print" notification:

*This product can only be shipped to: WORLDWIDE - excluding GHANA, HUNGARY, INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE, TURKEY
Hell, they'll ship to Iran, North Korea, and even war-torn Washington DC.

She's most likely a typical call center drone who knows nothing about what's going on.

    Guys

I've ordered the Comanda Gee helmet and had to buy the CS for $50, which was not a problem as i thought i could use the 10% on the boba helmet i want to purchase.

But what gets my goat is that a day after buying the CS i found out that MR are not doing meny more SW products after 2008.

But i understand that MR are not doing any more products as the
Corgi International Limited Provides Notice Withdrawing Offer to Secure a New Licensing Agreement with Lucasfilm Ltd.

But can MR still sell items in stock after the licensing agreement has finished?

I know...I'm just cheap. I'll take a deal when I find one. I guess my dealing with Jazz simply pissed me off. MR has pissed me off before with not following through with another customer service issue I had...so this simply added to the pile.

Sell off the damn kit and call it a good day.
    Ya...but the eBay charges...

I proud of being cheap. I realize the ridiculousness of that coupled with buying a $400 helmet that has no practicality. When I should be buying another off duty.
