So i finnaly finished my Comic book style mojlnir. I used a 2x4 cut into 4 9 inch segments. glued together, covered in particle board, then cut the angles. I had a friend use his laser engraver to carve in the thor quote and i wrapped the handle in craft foam done up to look like leather. I think it turned out pretty nice. My buddy was in town with his High quality camera so we took some fancier photos. What do you think?

Late to the party, but I saw this linked from another thread. Nice work! The engraving looks great, and admittedly, I checked out the pics before I read your post and was surprised to find out the handle was rapped in craft foam and not leather! And I bet, being made of wood, it has a nice (but manageable) heft to it to make it feel more real. Great job all around!
