Here's something a friend of mine put together. He calls it the Model 47 and features the following:

1. Laser cut steel frame,
2. Foundry-cast brass shrouds finished in exactly the same way as the original prop
3. Hand-finished walnut grips
4. Removable ammo clip
5. Movable thumb lever safety
6. Hand-made replica leather holster and belt with buckle cast off an original
7. Solid wood presentation case with laser-engraved plaque
8. Spring-loaded movable trigger
9. 4.5 pounds in weight
10. .38 caliber
11. "Manufacturer's" certificate/schematic

That is one beautiful looking replica. I'm not really a fan of Firefly/Serenity, but the more I see of some of the weapons, the more I want to watch the show and movie. Excellent work! I would also love to see kits or finished replicas available. :-)

VERY COOL. I figured someone was going to make something like this eventually, and not surpising it's one of Phil's talented buddies.

Thank you for sharing the photos!!

It's outstanding, awesome, super!
The only thing I "don't like" it's the trigger guard finish (looks to "clean"), but everything else it's absolutely wonderful!

AH..... OM..... I can't think of anything nice enough to say here. This is a dream come true. The only problem is, once again, it's my dream, and it's coming true for someone else.

That's it, this is going to have to be the first thing I buy if I ever win the lotto.

I think this should be offishly made the coolest Sci-fi weapon of all time.
