Howdy all you happy gals and girls, it's your uncle Bingo!!!

I'm considering working on a Merr Sonn Power 5 blaster pistol to go with my collection, and I was wondering what y'all use for some of the miscellaneous parts...

I can see that it is the mauser with the bull barrell, and han ANH style flash hider, and that the grill pieces are mounted on the side. What's the cord at the top? I've heard rumor that it was the graflex cord, but what does everyone usually use? A windy phone cord or something like that? I'm open to artistic interpretation. Also, I was just wondering if any of you have a little more info on what greeblies are used on it. Any reference photos or photos of your replicas would be most appreciated!

    Cheers!

I think you mean the Merr Sonn Power 5. The Model 44 lacks the flash hider. Wish I could be of help about the parts. I made mine with resin pieces so I have no idea what they really are

There are some great reference pictures in the Chronicles book, or check out the Parts site:

    Parts Of SW

As to what the parts are on the side of the thing, I have no idea. I think most people are scratch building these or using found parts that come close.

Try Radio Shack for the cord. They have them with a similiar connector.

    Good luck.

I believe the resident 'Grand Moff' has the best reference

Here's a wrinkle for ya: I think at least one of the side greeblies as pictured in Chronicles is actually the absence of paint from one of the greeblies having fallen off. Theory: the two greeblies were identical but due to uneven glue, the chipped paint is a different shape.

Yeah that's what I figured too, when I built mine. I went ahead and staggered them the way it looked like they were attached:

The small squares look like lock blocks or small Motorola radio parts. I found some that were similiar, but no cigar on those.

They should be easy enough to scratch build, though. Good luck.

    Resurrecting an old thread here...

Has it ever been determined who in the movie actually used/carried this prop?
