I hope Mattel's new prop is the Keymasters sweet colander helmet.

Quote from gbfans.com:
Just unveiled at San Diego Comic Con by Mattel! The new Ghostbusters Ecto Goggles replica prop! Expected to be released in Spring 2013! Price is not yet known, but is estimated at $80-120.
Includes lights and animation of slimer on the inside. The sound sensitive electronics synch up with your Mattel PKE Meter which changes the animation on the inside. The faster your PKE Meter works, the faster the slimer animation on the faceplate will move!
Pictures may be available soon, however the prototype is not yet finished.
That sounds awesome! I had guessed this would be the next prop after the PKE, and speculated they could do a kind of overlayed 3D viewmaster effect with ghosts. There's a lot of room for playability there.
I never thought they'd go fully animated and the linking to the PKE meter is genius.
The GBs of Southern Cal got some pics on their facebook page.

This one doesn't excite me quite like the PKE meter or trap...
Synchs up with the PKE meter? How? Audio? If so, what if you turn the audio off? Or did they hide an extra chip to broadcast something in the meter and no one noticed?
Interested a little.. but not certain yet.
Maybe I missed this, but has Mattel ever actually commented either way on doing a pack?
Well a ways back, Mattel posed a question to fans about what they'd like to see "next," a pack, goggles, or Trap. This was the first time we heard them outright mention they are at least considering one down the pike.

Is color off on it a little? I thought they were darker on the green body.
Honestly, I'd just love to get my hands on the trap etc. toys that came out back in the 90s. ;-;
Yes, the colors are a tad off. The green should be more olive, just like, big surprise, the night vision goggles they used to make the original prop. There's also some differences with the knobs and such, but that's an easy fix. Once again, the biggest flaw should be that it's all plastic. Other than that, they look kinda nice.
biggest flaw to me seems to be how theyve got those straps attached, all supposed to be riveted on buttons.
Well isn't this just the prototype and not the final piece? Im sure it's subject to change from now until it's release.
This looks like a fun product.
I'm sure the GB maniacs will have a laundry list of complaints, but I have to applaud Mattel for the engineering that goes into these products to make them playable and displayable.
