It's in the right place.
...it will be nice to end the speculation and get some real info on these items. Although, as with a lot of this stuff, the ultimate proof will be in the actual delivery of product.
Apparently the GB info will be announced on the following web site:
http://www.5552368.com/ (the telephone number from the Ghostbusters TV commercial)
It was suppose to be up and running at 12 noon PST, but it has not been activated as of yet.

Happy Halloween! We had hoped that our new Ghostbusters micro site http://www.5552368.com would be live at noon PST today, however it appears the ghoulish gremlins have struck and its taking a little bit longer. Please bear with us while we clean out the internets ecto plasma and check back later. Be prepared for some ghostly trivia! Trick or Treat!
wow, really surprising a 1:1 pack, thought that would be beyond them...

This will be interesting to watch... I really hope they make a PKE Meter.
Awsome! I really dident think they would do a full pack either, glad there doing a trap also!!! Can't wait to see what they are going to release me next!!!
MR posted over at GBFans, theyre aiming for under $400 for the trap, under $1000 for the pack. Pretty impressive if both have lights and sounds and any metal parts.
That price for the trap sounds good, I really hope they can keep the pack at around $800 though!
Wow.
That's a lot cheaper than I was anticipating.
If they do a PKE, I'm totally on board.
I'm definitely going to keep an eye on these... especially since they'll have lights and sounds and (hopefully) are close to screen accurate.![]()
Sorry but my confidence in MR is zero.
It will be a miracle if we see these before NEXT Halloween and at a quality worth the $1000.
But good luck to them.
We shall see how they turn out- I am glad someone is doing them!
They'd have to pull off a miracle to offer packs with light and sound in a very limited number for less than $1000 and still have them be even remotely accurate. Look at their other price points for static items that have been mass produced. Their rep also said that's their opening target price. I'd bet they'll end up raising the price multiple times and pushing the release date back multiple times. Their first deadline has already been missed and it's just a website.
A great Proton pack with all the bells and whistles was sold on eBay recently- it went for
$ 2,750
Foam Grips, Extending Barrel, the BEST lights and sound kits you can get - READ ON!
The ULTIMATE, most accurate pack offered on ebay this season! AND, it includes a state-of-the-art HYPERDYNE LABS Integrated Light and Sound Kit! The sound kit features:
Power Up (upon starting the pack) which also switches on all the lights! Speaker is a powerful 100watt 5 1/4" 2-way speaker. Perfect size and sound for this pack!
Button Presses 1 - 3 play 3 different movie tracks, including the Hero Theme and Ghostbuster by Ray Parker, Jr. (the WHOLE song!!!)
Button press 4x = Pack Hum sound
Hold button down and the pack makes the "firing" noise as well as the gun bargraph sequences just like the movie and the barrel lights strobe for a perfect effect! When you release the button, it plays the powerdown sound. Then just press 4x to cycle back to the humming noise. It's PERFECT!
This is great news.
I have high hopes. Whether they can be met is questionable.
Wow, that does sound awesome, but I wouldn't expect that from the current MR. If I could afford highly detailed and accurate custom props like that, I'd ALWAYS go for them, but since many of us simply can't, the MR announcement is a godsend. I'm sure most of the parts will be plastic and when put under the miscroscope, it'll be far from 100% accurate... but we can only hope that they attempt to do the best job they can.
(and I REALLY hope they put 110% effort into this... but with their current track record, who knows what'll happen)
I really think that the only reason that one on eBay went for so much was because of Halloween, there have been at less 5 packs on the bay in the past month and the went for real high prices, not saying that they aren't worth those prices, they looked really nice!!!
My view on MR is that thec suck as a company, they strted out really really good, but lost there way. And I hope that they ca really pull it back, I love my assault phaser, and if they can keep the trek stuff going, really pull it off with the ghostbusters stuff and get rid of all the stupid crap like bond cars and scaled stuff I think they can start up again as a good buidness! O, and thy need to redesign there damn site!!!
Having spent 3 years of my life researching & building the pack I have I feel like I have a pretty good knowledge as to what goes into making one. I would not count one an $800 price tag, especially if it's "film accurate" with all the detail items, and I don't mean just lights and sound. When, (or if), it ever comes out, I would be very surprised if it retails for less than $1200.
Still, time will tell. I mean, MR kick some serious fanny with the SS line. I would have NEVER thought a mass produced Falcon would see the light of day, and now it's setting in my living room!
A MR Proton Pack, I know I'm looking forward to seeing it.

So....
the phone number website still doesn't seem to load up. Bad omen?
Well, I think the site will work if the first pictures or productionsteps/news are availabe...
