This is a build I started a couple of years ago and have almost finished (weathering is still pending).
Hope you like.

Let's see what everyone thinks of the end result -if people like it than I'd be interested in doing so.
A few more photos of the build from the archives..
Rough Assembly
And now with a nozzle...

The "bottle" -before being sanded to shape.
One cap sanded, one more to go...
Detail pieces, glued and ready for attachment.
Assembled bottle
The supporting square "mount" has Bondo filler around the base to hide all seams and make it appear as one piece.
More 1.5" in PVC. The cone on the back of the top piece started life as a dowel and then was sanded to a taper (it took a long time).
Assembled with a piece of ribbed tubing

Ack, Ack indeed.
Thanks for the compliments guys. More pics from the Way-Back-Machine:
Handle detail (Wasn't as hard to do as I thought it would be)
The MDF (wood) is very porous so I covered it with an industrial primer to close the pores and ensure I get a good smooth paint job.
With a couple of coats of gray primer. I think it looks very military when painted this way.
I did a test paint with silver just to see what it would like. Not bad, but more sanding necessary...

Added split loom, filled in the gaps with clay (then hand-etched in ribbing) and primed.

O wow the result is just amazing!, It really looks like the gun of the movies.
Love it! Planning to make more?
Jedifyfe... I can't quite place your accent?
