I like how they finally separated the cowl.

Interesting. First impression: looks good.
Kinda dig it. It sort of looks like paintball armor though (just the bicep and shoulder strap stuff). Didn't he paint over the "techie" bits in the first film?
Can't wait to see what the little bat razors look like
Chris
I've never been a big Batman guy, myself (unless you count all of 1969, but I was six and it was on TV heh heh), but this version looks pretty damn cool. It's hard to see in this scan, but under the armor plates, there's a webbed/laced pattern to the undersuit which gives it a pretty cool look.
And making the cowl a separate piece so Bale can turn his head makes it look like a Jim Lee drawing come to life.
I may have to start doing some sit-ups.![]()
My first impression is a bit mixed... Really glad they slimmed down the neck area and the new gauntlets look pretty cool, but overall it just seems too busy/layered. Then again, I wasn't too fond of the Begins suit either when I first saw it, but now I love it! Being the Bat-fan I am, I expect the same will apply to this suit...![]()
Looks good!
Now, if you are fighting crime, you should wear a comfortable armor, and... That's it!![]()
I like it![]()
I'm not a big Batman fan either, but this looks cool. Yes, it looks like paintball/motocross armor, but I think it works. Its a departure from the "realistic muscle suits" that get old after a while.
Looks like a good evolution of the suit to me, I like it. Hopefully with the more armored & utilitarian look it means that the movie will portray just how brutal the nighttime streets were & why the bat was feared. I just cross my fingers and hope the story doesn't deviate from its more reality based roots the current franchise incarnation has (ie... Schumacher gets a beat down if he gets anywhere near the script with a pen & revisions in mind).
At least with a 200 piece batsuit, Bob will be kept busy for awhile & we'll get to see more of his awesome batsuit work.
The batsuit in the last film looked pretty bad in early promo photos, it really wasn't until you saw it in the context of the film, and how the costume evolved and became a fun and interesting element to the story that you really learned to appreciate it. I agree that in this photo the suit looks too busy to me, but I'm guessing in the context ofthe film it'll work brilliantly. CAN'T FRIGGIN WAIT!!
Looks like they went for a cycle armor look. That jibes with the "bat-cycle" rumors I've heard.
Well, I guess the old Batsuit just wasn't comfortable enough.. so, they made a new one. I must say, it looks pretty nifty... turn back now if you don't want to be SPOILED!

Just seems too busy, there's too much going on... too much detail. Batman should have a simpler look to him.
Now that is one smokin' hot lookin' suit! Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Yeah - i kinda dig it. i'm all for innovation in the Batman suit design. Very cool.
I like it. Hey, No nipples are good nipples. (for the most part)!![]()
there is just to much going on with the suit for me.
I was about to say it's in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly...![]()
Hate it worse than the "Begins" one. He went from Robocop to Borg... funny I thought his costume was supposed to be bat inspired. Like that they kept the belt (only part of the BB suit I liked) and shortened the cape (for practicality reasons Batman should have to worry about tripping on his overly long ugly cape). That's about it. This ridiculous non-Batman should go well with the God awful looking Joker. I'm not sure how they'll do it, but I'll bet the new Batmobile looks even worse than the tumbler... if that's possible.

It may look busy in a still but I'm sure we'll see very little of it when it's in action in the shadows where it belongs! Looks great! I like how the mask is more of a helmet...now Batman can turn his head!
I like it, all the "Pooh-pooh" Heads here can watch the 60s show and enjoy the gray spandex and vinyl ears if they want simplicity.
I dig it. Looks like a bat inspired suit of armor.
