Making a prop map

Hi, Iv decided to try and do Thorins or Thrors map which ever you'd like to call it.from the hobbit. Anyone have suggestions on what type of paper to use? And I was also thinking of aging it with coffee or are there any other ways. Thanks Erik

try paper from your local worldshop ( I don't know what it is in English, it is basically a shop which sells foreign objects and a lot of the profit goes to charity) they probably have pretty cheap hand scooped paper.
you need paper which already has some texture
