Macro binoculars - build in progress

Hello.

I acquired a Kaligar, the lenses , the russrep lens mounting plate, viewer etc.

I am just curious, what is the best method to attach the lens plate to the Kaligar 8mm camera?

I drilled a hole in the camera and the center of the plate and installed a counter-sunk screw, washer and nut.

Plus some JB quik weld as a backup.

It is on there like a rock.

Most builders used glue, but the screw is a great idea as the lens and plate are pretty heavy!

SD studios, your macro display looks awesome! Did you paint your lens and bell &howell dial grey?

Yup, all painted primer gray and weathered to match the film grabs.
