Here is a few pics of the build of my ANH Skywalker belt. This is my first attempt at working with leather so I welcome all feedback.
My order from Tandy leather and from Dave at. Saberbelt.
After dyeing and weathering the belt blank.
I used some concrete acid to take the shine off and prep the buckle for paint.
Flat Black paint applied.
Thumb scratchin time. Do this before the paint fully dries.
Leather punching all the holes.
Attached Saber Hooks and D ring.
Finished Belt.

Im not sure what D ring to use, but Im sure I will obsess about it for weeks...lol. Ive followed the D ring discussion with great interest and at this point I need someone to just say USE THIS ONE. I may follow thegreatgalling on his choice.

Awesome work on the belt. Was wondering where you got your 2 snaps to attach the buckle. I just purchase snaps from like Michaels and it appears that the leather belt is too thick for the buttons I purchase. The rod does not come up through the belt enough to attach the snaps together. Also did you cut out the leather for the two D-Ring pieces?
