To go along with my 3rd season Major West uniform, I'm trying to put together the holster. If anybody knows specifically what vintage seat belt (auto? plane?) was used, or details on the clear holster (I'm thinking just an acrylic tube), I would appreciate it if you could share it here. Pics would be welcome, too, as the commercial DVDs are not the best quality. Thanks!

I purchased a very convincing seat belt from a mail order catalog years ago that seemed to be the correct color. The chrome clip lock looked right also. I made the holster from clear acrylic tube but it didn't quite look right. I believe the originals were vac formed clear plastic, but I don't know for sure.
Thanks for the info...if anyone has a good screengrab or publicity photo showing the holster/belt, I'd be much obliged. Same regarding any specifics on the buckle. Otherwise, I'll probably go with the generic vintage seat belt/buckle.
I purchased few buckles from a surplus store in South Bend Indiana about 15 years ago. The buckles looked to be a perfect match. I think they were from an airplane. I only have one left and woulkd have to find it. The surplus store is long gone. It is a motor cycle store now. But I am sure the buckles are out there they seem to be very commen.

Do you have a picture of it? I can check a local place (or two) here that have surplus aircraft stuff...
Thanks for the offer to check, but I don't have any good pics...my screen-grab capabilities basically consist of photographing the paused DVD playback with my digital camera...with, as expected, not-so-great results. Unfortunately, there's not much available in the way of promo photos from LiS, and I haven't found any good images of the holster on Google images, either.
