    Sep 1, 2007 - Looking for a safe clear resin #1

    [FONT=Calibri][COLOR=white]I’m looking for a substitute clear resin from what I was using. Before I was using Smooth -ons Crystal Clear series but I had a materials audit at work and found that is contains mercury and I'm no long allow to use it. And suggestion?[/COLOR][/FONT]

    Well I was going to suggest Alumilite clear as it's the only other clear resin that I have found is even worth purchasing outside of Smooth On...

    But it also contains Hg...

    Good luck on your search, I have tried a bunch of clear resins in all different flavors and the only two I would ever use where Smooth On and Alumilite... The rest never set up, turned slightly amber, or simply won't cast worth a damn with horrible lumpy surface details...
