I would Steve. And maybe even shorten one of the other ones a touch so all three are of different lengths.

Thanks! Ok, I cut down the pistons in the arm and bloodied the stump and endo arm a bit.

With each pic I get more and more jealous that I am not doing one of these right now!
Arm looks fantastic. If you can, I might cut the aluminum tubes (representing the pistons) right where they "bend".
They seem still just a bit too long. Pull up images of the Sideshow Endo Arm, and look at the porportions of the pistons compared to the base cylinders.
Also, since they're tubes, they have crimped (as you know), making them look slightly more pedestrian and less future sci-fi tech.
If you cut right at the crimp, you solve both issues - the unnecessary length, and the crimped tube.
Now, so I don't sound like a hypocrite, the bendy twisty outside rods are kickass. But the pistons I think can stay a bit more straight.
Love the blood on the arm, and the knee looks fricking fantastic. Just to let you know; on the PH statues, they were all over the board as to how the knee was done (some with less showing, some with more [bigger rip in the leather], some bloodier, some less).
Here we go - take a look...
See how the pistons really aren't any longer than the cylinders?
FWIW I measured the pistons on my SS arm, and they are about five inches (just the pistons - not with the cylinders).

Ah, ok. I'll go do that tomorrow then. I'm glad I have you around buddy ! your help is really getting this thing where it should be at. Thanks!
By the way (sorry to flood with posts), as you know Steve I've pulled out the ole' archive, and looking closely at the old PH silicon statues, I like your painted resin better. You have much more detail in your skin tones.
Cool - happy to help out. And like I've said, I respect that in the end it is your project. I'm just living it vicariously through your thread!
On the thinner rods, personally, I think the length for those is perfect.
I think you used s solid rod, maybe. But I interpret them as representing the cabling in the arm, of which there would be a LOT of, and it would all come unraveled and loose once the arm was torn. So (again - FWIW) I think the longer length on the thin ones is perfect!

Cool. Thanks for the compliment on the paint job.![]()
Wow, Steve, you work fast and have an open ear for the T2 pros. Gotta respect that!
This is such an inspiring thread, that after 20 years, I have decided to start with my project.
Thank you!
You are welcome Thomas! Can't wait to see what you can do with one.
Steve
Looks great.Very inspiring. I agree, the paint job is so much better than on most silicone versions. This will be one bad ass display once completed. Hell, it looks awesome already.
Small update. Finished the damaged endo arm. I sculpted skin onto the mannquin arm so since it's exposed it won't look like smooth plastic
Also bloodied up the shirt some
Double trouble !
Rob, I added the other eyebrow
This one is mine

We have power Captain! This won't be a battery operated endo eye, It's running off a plug so you can plug him in a wall. The wiring is running down the back under the clothes so they won't be visible.

Your work is unbelieveble!!! Would you make a 1:1 size Hugh Jackman/Wolverine bust, with real hair and beard?
Thank you for the compliment, but No, sorry. I don't sculpt. You can try Fettster or DH effects for that.I can do the painting, but I leave the sculpting to those guys.
I would consider bending the rods and not "crimping" them. Tubes crimp, like a straw, while a solid rod bends. The PH statues have bent rods etc Otherwise one of the most fantastic builds to date. And done with a Ebay jacket. Great work. Next week items will go out.

Sorry there hasn't been much action on this, waiting on the pants , grenades/belt etc to arrive, and the arm is being modified by my friend Paul to hold an M79 grenade launcher.
Should hopefully have some more pics soon.
Hello, your T800 looks fantastic, here are some pics from mines, hope you like too,

Might I politley recommend starting your own thread rather than piggy-backing on another?
