    Caught this on Sci-Fi last night at 2am, and noticed the trooper drone guys were wearing black stormtrooper leg, arm, and crotch armor, and later on there are red versions with the same pieces, but added with beautiful chest and helmet pieces. Just curious if anyone else saw this and knew more or had any thoughts on it. I love the red ones!

    i saw the end of it, a sci fi made for tv movie with Don 'the dragon' Wilson as a human soldier fighting some off world threat... the move was blah, but i dug the costumes... the red ones are very imperial guardish...

    Yep, busted....that armor was built by me, Al Z and Max C. for Sci Fi.
    Al still has the bucks for the super drone shoulders and yes the helmets were very 'Kronenish'. We did all of it in la few days. At one point we had some of the painted pieces drying outside the back door and this homeless person just picks em up and tries to walk off with them.

    i somehow knew id find out someone here did it, lol. So were the trooper parts vacuformed black abs? Any info or pics on those red helmets, those things are beautiful!

    Yup, black ABS. Those were all modded FX shadow trooper armor.
    The super drone upper armor, helmets and standard drone helmets were all custom.
    helmets were all rattle canned. I havent seen Al in over a year but if I run in to him Ill see if he has any pics. I have some behind the scenes pics of the standard. We literally knocked that armor out in a couple of days. I procured the armor sets and teh Costume supervisor sad, "This is what we need done to it" and we knocked it out. I focused on teh Black drones and Al worked on the super drones.
    My ex gf, Sarah Brown, was one of the drones and if you pm me your email Ill send you some more pics and you can post those here too if you want.

    Yep and I responded (at least I thought I did). The guns were handled by Robert Miller. We never had any contact with the firearms. Red Drone Helmets, shoulder guards and upper bodyarmor were things Al Z worked on. Last I heard he was in China doing toy prototyping so when I see him again Ill ask him if he has any of that stuff left. I know he did some personal pulls on the 'fluted' helmets but I dont know what he did with them. we were all roomies at the time but all moved our separate ways shortly thereafter and Al was going to China so I think all that stuff went in to storage.
