    Jun 1, 2010 - Landspeeder Bed.. #1

I'm actually sitting here watching, believe it or not, 17 Again with the missus.. Actually enjoying it more than I thought I would.. One of the characters is a big geek and has heaps of props around his house like Vader, lightsabers, helmets etc.. But what I loved the most was his bed.. I'm going to have to get the plans for it..

Not sure if it's been talked about before, but I love it and have to make one in the future for my son to be.. Just thought I'd show ya'll to give you inspiration for your own beds..

Aw man, that's awesome. A guy'd better make sure he's in a steady relationship before he embarks on that. No woman is gonna get naked with you for the first time in that bed!

    Forgive me but...

Where do you actually lie down on that thing? The hood?

Oh wait... are your legs supposed to fit waaaay under the hood? Is that it?

Haha , unless she's into Star Wars also. Perhaps she's wearing her Slave Leia bikini the first time .

    Wow that is sweet!
The perfect room: Landspeeder bed, Emperor's Chair, and TIE fighter desk!

If you do get the plans for it, I'd be interested in them.

Looks like a pretty darn good replica, though I'd not want to have to sleep in it...

That would be perfect for sale just outside my basement cantina.

It seems to have decent proportions.

That movie is awesome. A geek friend of ours recommended it to us specifically because of that character (played by Thomas Lennon - Lt. Dangle from Reno 911), and we could totally relate.

Here's a new idea on that theme.....

Cut out the door sections so that you can pass right through, and have it so you can fit a chair in there. The you can use the hood as a desk and set up your computer and stuff. It could be something cool like the Han in Carbonite desk.

You got it all wrong. You obviously make the bed when you're single, because if a woman would get naked with you for the first time in it, you know she's a keeper. Saves a lot of time and effort if you ask me.

Might as well keep the action in this thread going. Check out the bed/loft here:

....or the triple level bed type here. The upper (3rd) bunk is inside the AT-AT body.

Man can you imagine having any of these as a kid? Complete with stormtrooper or Rebel pilot pajamas!
