As many of you know I am fond on the character Kroenen from Hellboy. I was very happy when the Sideshow Mask came out, because I realized that the basic shape of this mask (Ninja Version) was also used for the WWII version and the Sandstorm version.

Most of you won't recognize the Sandstorm mask as it only made a brief appearance in the movie. It was lying on the table in Kroenen's lair in the sewers (see picture below).

The references where rare and screencaps wouldn't make this project possible, but fortunately, I got a very nice picture of the real deal (below).

I really like the design and it's a shame that the mask wasn't really used in the movie. Would have been interesting to see, what outfit would have gone with this mask.

Anyway, it was a nice little project and the mask sits well on it's place together with my other four versions. The venetian is the last of them but I am currently working on Kroenen's mechanical hand

    Enjoy,

    Thomas

PS: Because I live in germany, I left the swastika out....

sweet! wow, where did you find that original prop shot? Id only been able to gather shots from that same scene, never seen the full shot, awsome mask! Definetly worth sacrificing a sideshow mask for.

Yes, I have a Kroenen display. I cannot take pictures of all the masks, as a buddy of mine currently has two of them, but as soon as I have them back, I will post pictures.

    Here's a teaser:
