Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
As some here may know, a few years back I did a project with Jeremy Bulloch... I cast his face and offered a limited number over on the TDH. Part of the reason for this was to eventually use one of these casts for my Boba Fett mannequin. Well I've finally got around to making a new mannequin for my costume (new pose), so for this I will be adding Jeremy's face to the mannequin. I obviously need the face to have 'open' eyes (Jeremy's eyes were closed when making the original life cast for obvious reasons).
I was tempted to 'de-age' this cast, but I think I prefer the face as it is today, I may add a scar or two on the final copy though. I removed the closed eyes from the cast and sculpted 'open' eyes using wet clay. I will now need to make a mould of this then produce a fibreglass copy. Once that's complete, I will replace my mannequin's face with this copy, I will then paint it with fleshtones add realistic glass eyes. DAZ |

Very cool.
![]() Imagine the surprise when someone's impressed with your Boba mannequin and then you reveal that! |

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
But...Boba Fett looks like Temuera Morrison. We all know that.
![]() I remember when you did the run on TDH and thought it was incredibly cool for JB to have done that. Are you still gonna try to use the camera parts to make the head turn? Looking forward to more! |

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
So I've been told
![]() I think that lots of people now know Jeremy's face, almost as though he is the face of Boba Fett (in reality, he was, although covered by the helmet). DAZ |

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
The mould is finished and I've produced a fibreglass copy. The next steps will be trimming this and fitting it to my mannequin's head. I want the face to be detachable so I can access the eyes which will also be removable, this means I can alter the eye position if needed.
Once I have the face fitted and eyes installed, I can then paint it with fleshtones. I'm still thinking about adding a scar or two ![]() DAZ |

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
I've replaced my mannequin's face with the 'trimmed' Jeremy cast (just held in place with duck tape at the moment). Pretty freaky so far, still needs eyes and a good paint job.

You'll definitely have to send some pics to JB when this is done!

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
very nice indeed
![]() One thing that is confusing though is that he looks so angry/sad. Whenever I see Jeremy, he's always smiling and has a very kind aura. This looks really bad-ass though, kinda creepy actually! Fits with the character I guess

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
I agree, but this was Jeremy Acting the part of Boba Fett when the cast was made. When I cast his face I didn't ask for him to make any expression but he's a professional and thought that this face suited the part... he was right

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
The face now has magnets on either side so it locks to the mannequin head. I've also installed the eyeballs, they are removable and can be rotated easily. The next step is to add the eye details to the eyeballs.

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
I've now finished the Balaclava, it's also made from 'tackle twill' to match the neckseal. It has a drawstring around the front which is tied underneath the chin. I'm really please with how this turned out (a big thanks to my talented wife who sewed this together tonight).

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
Hi Daz!
![]() Have you ever thought about making him younger.... like when he made the movie? ![]() I bet that you can do that by using the actual one as the starting point..!! Cheers Alfredo |

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
That looks great...and his expression is priceless. I think you should think about connecting the two eyes to move togeather with a linkage similar to what I have linking the two rudders in my RC aircraft carrier. you could then change the eyes position with a single rod sticking out the back of the head. It would be simple and the parts would only be a few dollars. But whatever you do it looks AWESOME !!!

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
I did consider it but that would mean sculpting new details onto the cast, this means I would be losing the original details that were captured from the life cast. I think it's better to have the actual face cast of Jeremy rather than an artists interpretation.

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
I had considered attaching a servo onto the eyes which would allow them to move. I'm not going down this route though, I decided to keep it simple. I think that it will still be pretty impressive with the eyes stationary.

Re: Jeremy Bulloch has eyes
The lifecast of Jeremy is kinda ironic, given the similarity in appearance to our favorite smuggler whilst in carbonite...
