After a month of planning and design, my Iron Man movie-inspired gauntlet is now fully-functional, and completely portable (though, not demonstrated in this video).
It includes the repulsor blast with light and sound (both custom created), accelerometer which senses arm position to activate a moving missile-pod, light pipe that extends to a compact chest arc reactor that "transfers the energy" from the chest to the hand, a potentiometer to simulate the "angry charging sound" when Tony is sitting on the couch glaring at the terrorists on TV, and a movie-accurate chassis to contain everything.
The final edition will include two painted armour pieces, a painted glove (containing a smaller repulsor), and as mentioned above, will be completely portable.
