At Memorabilia the other day, I got a very short chat with Brian (or is ot Bryan - I always get them mixed up) about the original vader helmet.

DID YOU KNOW...
... That aparently, the round bit at the 'nose' of the original vader helmet is the shape of Brians thumb, as he used that to sculpt around....
... And you can take that to the bank...

... Or did you guys already know this and I'm just waaaaay behind everyone?

Just thought it'd be an amusing little fact...

Before anyone asks about the whole AA thing - I don't know enough facts to get involved in that, so I'm staying out of it...

I knew that. It was what old RM and GL said to Mollo and Muir. Make Vaders nose the size of your thumb.

:P Thanks for sharing, interesting.

It's interesting little facts like that are neat to hear about. Especially when talking about classic iconic characters.

Ya he showed that to me as well...that's one way how to tell an original...Vader's left side of the U-shape is more tapered...and the right side is more square...like his thumb

That's great little factoid, thanks for mentioning that!

I've put my thumb in Vader's nose before and wondered about this but never knew it was actually how Brian did it!

I'll admit it..........I've done that so many times....what with all the helmets I've painted over the years. I'm ashamed to admit it, but my thumb has been up the noses of so many other people's vader helmets that I should probably start a support group...........LOL
