Haven't thought about Drive Angry. Travis and I are huge Charger fans (we each own 1969's), so that makes it tempting. But like the Dirty Mary Crazy Larry plate, I am not so sure they will sell enough to justify tooling. But it IS on the list..when we get to a point where we have released the real popular ones, we may do it.

We are working on Eleanor now, but we are doing the remake first as we obtained a set of plates from that production. There is also a larger market for it, so we will start with that one and do the older one later.

PS- That Demolition Man plate is a trip! I may reverse engineer that one just for the hell of it! Never been asked for it before. But nobody ever even knew what the Robocop plate looked like and we did that one...lol.

As far as the number in the Jurassic Park plates, I'm not picky, I'll take whatever everybody else wants. Personally I yhink if you do this you should start it's own thread in the junkyard.

If you do some of these plates, then I think its time to make an order of 3 or 4 plates the next time... Watching this thread with large interest...

Let us catch up on some of these we are wrapping up and then I will post a new thread. I would like to have the time to knock it out while the thread is fresh. I don't want it to be a thing where there is 6-8 months between the thread start and completion as the wait can be hard.

We have 2 more California black plates designs being submitted today. I will hold back and let them surprise you. One is an old classic and one is a modern classic. They should be in stock in 3-4 weeks.

Just ordered an ECTO1 and OUTATIME.

I look forward to getting them.

As for the embossing, I don't think anything other than the outer rim thing is embossed/stamped:

As far as I know the screenused ones were only printed...

With that particular distressed image, it looks like both the number and the logo are slightly embossed. Probably used the same technique. It also looks like the dirt is collected in the upper left corner of the logo? Further evidence that there's some sort of embossing there?

Look at the number 0. If it were a clock, the flash reflection off the area that would be in the area between the 11 and 12 o'clock positions. The material is fairly thick, like 2 business cards stacked on top of each other, cut, applied, then cleared over. I have several made with that material. The "OUTATIME" and Starsky plates are well known examples made with this material.

The logo area appears to be a clear vinyl sticker where the edge has dirtied. They used lots of clear vinyl over the years.

Okay, last call, any preference at all on the number? I can only assure that one version of the plate will be made, so I would like to make it count.

What about a Jaws/Deep Blue Sea plate? I've seen some online, and I've definitely thought about getting one. Be a nice addition.

I'm good with 12, or 4 or 5, since those are the two tour vehicles that the group toured in.

First off, thanks for the kind words about our products! As you can tell, this all started as a hobby and has now spiraled out of control. . . Secondly, the THX plate is on the way along with a couple other new designs. As you can tell, these are not cheap to produce so Jim and I appreciate your input on the Jurassic Plate. We've got about one more day until we finalize the artwork so vote for your favorite number. 12 - 4 - 5 whatever? Jim and I will produce the plate that the group wants.



I love the Jaws plate idea - as you can see from the vid-cap, it's a poorly made prop plate.
Does anyone else have any other plate ideas? Anything you'd like us to do? We are kicking around the Supernatural Impala plates currently.
