Okay. I want to make a mask piece with a mold, but I'm not sure if I would be better off using plaster or silicone. Also, what is the process for making a plaster/rubber mold. Is it the same? Sorry again if this is in the wrong section.
It depends what the material you are molding is and also what material you plan to cast the mask in..
For example, if you have a clay sculpture and plan to cast the mask in latex rubber you'll want a plaster mold. But if you want to cast mask in fiberglass you'll want to make the mold out of rubber with a plaster outer mold..
I'm no pro by any means so wait for some more info but the guys will be able to help alot more if you give them these details..
