Help to do with Daft Punk helmet...sorta

So, i'm kinda a Dj. well becoming one...lol. and I'm the type, i guess you can say, where i like to keep people wondering. as in, they dont know what i look like.

What I'm asking is, does anyone want to help out with some concept art of my "helmet" i'm going to make. Anyone can help, and everything will help. i just need some pictures of masks and helmets that are Sci-Fi/ Daft Punk(without copying him). they can be something you thought was cool and would like to share, or something custom made.

I have some ideas, sorta. And I'm posting this in the prop threads because it is going to be a prop. and it is kinda based off of multiple.

Well you could always do pepakura and create a helmet yourself. For example like a replica of a helmet from the Halo franchise. *Just use some Bondo Body Filler and make it your own and once you have the form you like just sand it down and polish it*.

However but what i mean by "Summed it up" is that there are many steps before the use of bondo not sure if RPF would have a section on a "HOW TO"

I think you mis understood me, lol, I know how to make a helmet and everything, i'm just looking for some ideas on how it'll look. after all, one mind alone is great, a few together is genius.

Get some concept art from video games and movies and get inspired. I'm a DJ myself and I always wanted to do something like Daft Punk and Deadmau5. If I ever get a chance to do personal DJ head gear, I would do something that reflects what I like, like Tron or Blade Runner. Something cyberpunky or futuristic. But yeah, looking at like "The Art of Tron Legacy" or Behind the Scenes of your favorite movies can help you get inspired.

I'll have to take a look at the "art of tron" stuff. I think i'm going to rent the movie tonight if its out.

I've been searching art stuff a Lot lately. I think I have an idea on what I'm going to do now... theres gonna be a ton of mods done to the final. I did some sculpting last night and will post pics later.

even though i know what I'm doing, concept art post will still help!!

Not much, but i'm gonna try to take some pics right now....with a screwed up cam tho so bear with me lol.

Well, Like i said, not much. Needs a ton of bulking up.

Fist one in something i drew up last night. My dad went to one of the basketball games last night and found a pair of junk glasses that gave me an idea. the last pick is my Dj setup right now(saving for some speakers that way i can use them). PS. ignore the lips, they were from a recent sculpt

Sorry i did misunderstand you i thought you were asking how or something else. It was late at night so... was tiered was actually putting my 12th layer of resin on my new project ;o

Changed the design a bit, still doesn't look like much but I have a pretty dope idea in my head.

I really like this a lot. I found out about these a long time ago when I was a kid. I bought all the toys from KB toys in the early 90's. Green one is my favorite.

I made a ton of progress, Pics should be up pretty soon.

Sorry for the double post but it's 2:35 am and i'm gonna try to get this done for a school speech that i have tomorrow..er..um today...in the ...uh later morning. so, I molded it. Its in what is hopefully its last coat of silicone. I'm going to make the shell, if all goes well, in the morning. then I'll cast one. then I'll post pics.

(sorry for the 2 year-old typing style...im tired)

So I molded it, and the mold came out Great. Keep in mind this mold is just for a rough cast, and it need quite a bit of smoothing. In the casting you can see there is marker marks, this is where I will be trimming. The dome part and back part didn't come out to well because I was rushing this like crazy and the mold apparently wasn't pushed far enough into the shell. But I don't care because I can cast another to get the dome, I can also make it a two piece now. Anyways, enjoy:

Thanks! Thats what I like about it... seems to remind me of a mix of stuff. Unfortunately the dome is way to crammed... so I cut it up a bit and started making a new dome.
