    Jun 3, 2012 - Help with Blaster Builders E-11 Template printout #1

    Hey Everyone,

My friend and I just got the correct tubing for the PVC E-11 buildup, with a Doopydoo`s kit waiting to be attached, but are having a huuge problem sizing and printing the correct size template printout to wrap around the pipe.

Has anybody encountered this? And if so, what did you do about correctly re-sizing it and by how much? This is exactly what we are using:

And if anybody is doing these cutups, I`m always in the market to pay for somebody to do the cutting and drilling, as I have no access to a drill press to get it done correctly. Any tips in the right direction would be greratly appreciated.

Be sure to get the correct templates for the pipe that you are using. The standard templates are for plumbing pipes that are 1 1/4" on the inside, but slightly off from 1 1/2" on the outside. There should also be templates for correct 1 1/2" pipes.

The template images should have the resolution set correctly in them, so that if you use a good program for printing them, they should come out OK. Photoshop should work. I used MS Word for one template, but it changed the scale of the image after I had imported it, so I had to right-click on the image, select Properties and change it back to 100%.

This seems to be a problem that crops up every now and again. First thing is to check that you're printing them as 100%, not "scale to fit". That ususally resolves a lot of the problems.

The best way to check if this is happening is to measure the blueprints and see if the given measurements match up.

    Thanks Guys...

I`m pretty sure I have it correct now.

Now I gotta find somebody who has access to a drill press and that can cut worth a damn...
