Nice looking helmets Frank! Very good start, only two to go for a full set![]()
Ok, bear with me for a moment ... a couple of serious questions ...
I'm starting to get a wee bit concerned now in light of the active threads
going on right now about the MR CT Buckets and quality control ...
MR Clonetrooper White Review
MR Retailer Ex. Helmets, Quality Control issues
jedeyenight - besides the scuff on your dome, have you combed over this bad boy yet? I'd bet that you probably have, but if not, can you take a closer look and report any other maladies?
I know of 3 ppl that have received their MR ROTS Vader buckets, and so far, so good, but I can't be the only one starting to sweat in light of the other lid issues. At this point, I'm wondering if the delay's on the CT buckets were because they were pampering the Vader buckets, and as a consequence the CT line suffered for it? Otherwise, someone is bound to receive a disappointing Vader lid at some point, and I don't want to believe that
Thoughts? Like kind concerns?

FP...Yup...I've been thinkin' the same thing. As more receive thier Vader lids and post, we will have an idea....but I'm hoping that the Clone issues are isolated to the Clones. As the Vader is all black, I'm hoping it's an easier paint job to do properly....we'll see....Originally posted by fettpride@Jan 25 2006, 01:29 AM

As I combed over the helmet the few times I've taken it out of the box, their are a few flaws.
I have a knick in on of the crevaces going to the sensor down to the Fiberglass.
My main concern is the dome scuff and I wrote my email and am awaiting a response.
Thanks,
Frank
I'm sorry to hear that Frank. Thanks for checking it out. Here's to hoping to get a higher quality
helmet as your replacement![]()
Looks like the alot of us will be right behind you to do the same.

Got mine today... and yep... the dome wasn't bagged! There was a scuff on the dome, but I used some Novus ABS scratch remover I had from my stormtrooper armor kit and it worked just fine.
I'd like to hear fiberglass helmet experts to chime in though on this "fix."
Overall, I am pleased with the helmet.

.....if it got rid of the scratches, then it's a good enough "fix" in my book....Originally posted by BoBoDohn@Jan 25 2006, 10:20 PM

Yup, that was the big issue for mine also. It had scratches on the top of the dome due to it...NOT BEING BAGGED!! Oh boy...it couldve been easily avoided if they just took the time to bag it.
