Force FX blade romoval question

Someone posted this Q in yahoo group I'm a member of:

Has anyone in the group removed the blade from a Force FX saber? If
so, is it possible to do it and still get sound? Or does it end up
destroying the hilt?"

Anyone have an exact answer or know if there's a tutorial for this anywhere?

I've done it to two different sabers and the sound worked, including the clash sounds. One was a saber with a broken blade and the other was just to see how it came apart.

I did the Vader ESB and it worked fine. I'm glad I kept the blade though. When the Luke ANH comes out I'm going to try and make it a Vader ROTJ.

Iv doen Anakin RotS Vader ESB Luke RotJ Yoda RotS and I knwo how to dismantle MAce AotC.RotS, Obi-wan RotS, Vader ANH(07). I also know where to find tutorials for most of the others.
