    Nov 3, 2011 - Fixing battery corosion? #1

I just got my hands on a second Art Asylum ENT Communicator. Alas, the thing didn't work and when I jimmied the little batteries out of the back of it I could see that there has been some corrosion. The connections in the communicator are a bit green. I have not opened it up to see if there is any deeper damage yet.

I was wondering what I might do to try to fix it if possible. Any thoughts?

I can take pix tonight if you wanna see it.

I'd used a qtip to apply the vinegar though. don't want too much in there. It used to happen with my old toys, you forget batteries and next thing you know they leak all over. That calls for baking soda to neutralize the acid and then you can clean up.

Thanks all. I'll try the vinegar. All I have in the house is rice wine vinegar and malt... :P
