Finally finished my own book of the dead his weekend .. i always wanted to attempt to re-create this and after looking for screen grabs and references and i felt comfortable about being able to make enough pages i started on this bad boy. Some of the pages were scanned and reprinted to the size i needed from the mini book that comes with the dvd and the rest of the pages were hand drawn by me , i am pretty happy with the end result .. what do you guys think ? take a look

Thanks , don't think I would ever consider doin a run this was just a personal project .. plus I know the history of selling these books and the trouble is causes so I'm gona stay away from that
I've been thinking about getting one of these latex covers off eBay, how thick is it?

Is the exact order and number of pages known or is this just a best guess?
It might be maybe 1 or 2 pages off but the order is pretty accurate to the pages flipped through in the beggining of the movienick daring said:

did you make an ear in any of the inside bind? I remember some iterations having an ear...
The ear on the book was from the first film and it was on the back .. minr is more styled after the second film and it doesn't have an ear anywhere on mine
So what materials did you use for the cover?
What method of binding did you end up going with?
What aging processes did you give the interior pages?
You've really got me thinking about giving this project a go!

The cover was purchased off ebay i made the template to fit it out of cardboard and construction paper backed with foam to give it a cushion-y feeling like skin and then laid tissue paper covered in latex on the inside to match .
The binding is hard to explain but it is glued into the seam just by the edges of the pages and its pretty strong .. it was trial and error ,
the pages were aged by being dyed by black tea .
