I dont mind the super shiny copper in the neck, but i didn't particularly care for the excessive shine on the rods of the internals.
I agree. It looks way too shiny and seems like there are some accuracy issues as well which I have notices. Hopefully this is not the finalized version.
The rods should be brass and don't even get me started on the control box details or rather lack there of
I don't think it is supposed to be that shiny and I don't know much about this saber in particular.

I know in the past that an OWK saber was on display at SDCC that still needed weathering.
Edit: I think it was the never produced extreme edition.

Your looking at a Prototype. Prototype's tend to be different from the final production model.
I would also like to know what you are comparing it to in deciding that it does not look correct. If you are comparing it to Rylo's Reveal, that is unfair to both of them as they are completely different animals.
Compared to the Elstree one... It is completely different...
Maybe there are some oxidation considerations down the road and materials and finishes are still being tweaked.
We go through this with almost every replica. There have been many cases where the prototype and the production versions were very different, and I will admit not always for the better. But most of the time they get it correct. Bryan said these were going to take longer because of how strict they were being with QC, so I'm really looking forward to this.

No question they are different animals, one was hand-made here in the USA, while another will be mass-produced in China but they are replicating the same prop and while it is a Proto there are a few things that are totally wrong with it.

The newer one sure is purty but I still like the one Slothfurnace made more than any other that I've seen. I just wish he had time to take commissions.
I like the finish on last year's prototype better.

No, apparently they had some issues with it and decided to make the Luke ROTJ first, but they are working on it now eFX Inc. - Obi-Wan Kenobi Extreme Lightsaber
So I guess it's the next saber they will release
