Quick follow up questions. This is a sample of the "Legend" edition which is the "scratch and dent" version correct? How will the Limited edition version differ? Will they use the same casting for both editions and just have a different paint job?

The castings are different between the two editions.
The limited edition has all of the dings/warts cleaned up/removed, and the paint is sprayed on vs. being brush-painted on.
.
Gotcha, that's what I thought but glad to hear it confirmed.
Thanks!
Can not wait to get mine.
So can you share any details about how the paint is being applied? Specifically the Legend, is the black and gunmetal colors being brushed or is it only the gm?
And is there a clearcoat?
That looks sharp, Gino!
Did I mention I went home and ordered one the very night after seeing yours?![]()
looks good, i do hope brian muir gets a copy as a gift at some point..it would be the gracious thing for efx to do.
cheers
Looks very nice indeed.
eFX is really setting high standards![]()
What was that about the bar being raised? Oh yea, here it is.
David
I want one sooo bad.... too bad they're all sold out :/
I echo everyone's sentiments, that looks just bloody fantastic !
No doubt the best licensed Vader collectible to date. Well done eFx!!!
Oh hell ya....Looks fantastic...Thanks for the update Gino
Carl
This looks amazing! I wish I could have gotten a Legend...
Can you post pictures of the Limited?
Awesome.
So how does the dome attach to the face mask?
I was well impressed with the paint job on the MR boba fett so the Vader helmet should be easy to paint in comparison.
An incredible piece, long overdo for fans and collectors. Count yourself luck you be getting one of these gems!
Is there a final payment date yet? I hope soon while the exchange rate is favourable!
Thanks for all the fantastic comments guys!!
Here's a few behind the scenes pics I thought you might be interested in seeing.
(excuse the poor quality pics, that's why they're *cough* behind the scenes)
Here's what the container looks like outside of the main box.
It's HUGE!
"It should be quite well protected..."
Shot of the face mask without the dome.
Interior shot of the face mask showing the lining and strap system.
Shot of the inside of the dome.
You have no idea how difficult it was to get the factory to lay the fiberglass in this particular way (thin wall with tight corners, and specific matte pattern)!
Very happy with the end result.

If they can pull that off...
Damn.
I'm VERY happy!!!
The paint looks better than the original test helmets! Which looked very good!
And now...
The waiting game!
And give Gino some rep points people!
He helped do what in our hobby said couldn't/wouldn't be done!

Gino,
Would you mins sharing the outer dimensions of the box... just to get an aproximated idea.
Thank you
I like the connector. Not prototypical of the ANH helmet, but it will do the job without a lot of fuss.
Man that's gorgeous!! Great job Gino and thank you! Now will us second class cititzens that got a Limited be treated to a visual sample?
Now correct me if I'm wrong, though the limited is cleaned up as far as warts, it does still have the bumpy surfaces right? I thought I remembered Gino saying that before.
