    I go every year. It is my cant mis event of the year. It is a party con, heavily costumed. copious amounts of adult beverages. described as Mardi Gras for geeks.

    Oh yeah, it's a none stop party, well if that's what you do. Or it's a plesent little day con if that is all you are after as well. But stick around for the late night costumes as they are some of the best you will ever see.

    i believe all the con-rate rooms have been sold out by this point... you may have to stay in an overflow hotel or pay full price

    this will be year #4 for me. i went in 2003 just to see what a big con was like. that led to costumes, which led to props, which led me here.

    it would be cool to get an RPF meetup put together at some point over the con.

    Last year they reorganized the the pre-reg pickup. It went very quick.

    The Con doesn't start till Friday But the Party Begains Thursday Night...... So try to get there Thusday night if you can.

    Arriving Thursday is usually your best bet to get a good room. My group is gunning for a room on the one of the first 5 floors. Few good points to remember are to keep hydrated, take frequent naps, and at night, get a solid 5 hours of sleep. Friday Morning, things dont really kick off till noon (With the exception of the news cast).I attended DragonCon in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and now 2007. Had a blast every time!

    yeah... i'm lucky if i get 4 hours of sleep a night. but showering is NOT optional!

    sometimes a couple a day isn't a bad idea, depending on your costume choices.

    I'll be there. Second year in a row. I'm counting the minutes towards it actually!

    I'm staying in the Hyatt again too... right upstairs from the late night partying.

    As for lots of sleep... the Hell with that. I'll sleep when I'm dead. I go to Dragon*Con to party!!!

    If ou live 3 hours away or 30, DragonCon is the must attend convention. Not as formal as ComicCon, not as bland as MegaCon, and not as big as GenCon, but DragonCon is the biggest convention party you will ever attend. An estimated 38,000 of our brethren descen on the three largest hotels in Atlanta and its a non stop party from Thursday through Monday. I go every year and stay and I live in Atlanta. Book your rooms early and get your badges fast. This one will rock this year. Celebration ain't got nothing on the Dragon! We'll see all of you in Atlanta.
