    Jun 6, 2008 - DLT-19 - first project (image heavy) #1

    Hi,

I'm new here and wanted to share some of my amatuer work with you all. This was the first prop I built and I think I did a good job

I have since built some other SW bits, and really enjoy it.

    The templates:

    Cut out:

    Bonded:

    Reciever after first sanding session:

    Stock:

    Barrel components:

Completed Barrel, receiver stock and grip:

    put together:

    complete alongside an e-11:

I've also added a resin copy of the MG-34 bipod to complete it.

That's some great looking scratch building! Did you get those templates from the BBC?

    Hi Sleeper341,

    Great job!!

What materials did you use to mock up the receiver?

    Take care,

    Thanks Motman.

I'm not 100% sure where i found the templates, but I know it wasn't the BBC, although there are the same templates somewhere on their boards. I found them when googling DLT-19's when I first decided to build it.

Again, thanks for the compliment DM.

The reciever is made from 9mm foamex sheets that I got from a local sign writers scrap pile. Infact the whole thing is made of foamex except the barrell, which is overflow pipe and connectors. The muzzle is a liquor measuring cup from Tesco!

    Thanks Defstar too!

I'll get some pics up of the scaled down DC-15s I built too.
