Truth is, I wouldnt mind having the kill knife myself and if I can re-invest some of the money we make with our Trophy Boxes into having them made, then I would like to take a crack at it.
First person to get me a detailed diagram/cad drawing gets a knife at cost.

    LOL

I've been working on dimensions to make a CAD model all weekend!

Needs to take the back burner today though since it's Valentine's Day and all.

I have 2 kids --a 5 year old & 4 month old-- and we've been together 8 years. Valentine's Day is just a regular Monday. Aggravating, bloody, and exhausting.

I have a feeling I will eventually feel that way.

Anyway, just a quick and dirty 5 minute photoshop. I used the picture of the 10 inch spatula from Global's website.

The proprtions are somewhat off, but I also used a picture that was seriously distorted.

Anyone that can get HD screengrabs should post them. I only had showtime when seasons 1-3 aired. I have since moved and no longer pay for the premiums so I have yet to see season 4-5... there could be some good shots I haven't seen.

As far as the Messermeister bag goes... this bag looks exact to me:

I would be willing to bet that the prop department colored over the blue line and white Messermeister logo with a Sharpie. It gets done quite often, and we're lucky that they didn't just cover it up with electrical tape.

Would a Hi-res rasterized graphic. If so just let me know your preferred format, and I'll export it for you right away.

Great job on the Global Spatula. I am 99% certain that is it! NICE!

I really believe that bag Logo was changed. Perhaps the blue line is light blue but just dirty in the Screen cap. A lot of times companies update their logo. I just don't see the black rectangle under the yellow logo in the screen cap. Dexter used the Messermeister bag starting in Season 2 Episode 1. I wonder what the bags looked like that year?

Also, (PITBULL, LOL). There is another shot of the Logo right before Dexter grabs the bag and gets out of the car, if we can see a screen cap maybe we can see it better?

I will NOT send it to Frosty taking credit, but can I see this as well? I am curious what you came up with? If you're cool with it, please send it to T.Kolarick@gmail.com. Thank you.

Well, since I was going to share it with the community anyway, here it is:

(That watermark is totally screen accurate as well! )

I have different layers for the handle, blade, bevels, fillets in the handle, and even the screw holes.

I'm extremely happy with how it turned out, and I just sent GeneralFrosty a full resolution copy of it. So hopefully it works out and we can get moving on a run.

I would like all interested people to agree on the posted design before I take it to the metal shop for a prototype to be made.
Also, if you have the image in seperate layers, that would help when showing the metal shop how it all goes together.
The blade looks to be polished stainless steel and the handle brushed aluminum.
I really don't know how much this is going to cost me to make so I will do my best to keep you guys updated.

Here's the email i got back on the bag

    Hello Mike

Thank you for your order and the e-mail. The BLACK Messermeister 12-pocket Knife Roll that we have sent you is the only black knife roll we carry from Messermeister . We do have a RED knife roll also. We checked in our inventory and the color on the knife roll bag is very close to the color on the web page. It is a very recent picture. The strip does not come in any different color. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. I would be glad to help.

Dammit Pitbull. That sucks. Mine will be here tomorrow and I already know what to expect, thanks for the heads up.

The bag opens the same and has the same Season 2-3 "flap" on it right?

yes the flap is correct but it looks like they cut off the front flap with the pockets as you see in the earlier videos of the prop master. When you un zipper the flap and pull it up to see the knives its kind of hard to flap it completely over and that's why i think they cut it off for the show.Regardless I wouldn't go cutting off the flap as having the flap in some scenes is accurate

Yes, the flap is on in Seasons 2 & 3. In Season 4 & 5 there is no flap. I guess it's a matter of preference.
I can deal with the white logo although it will drive me nuts knowing it isn't 100%. Any ideas on how to fix it?

    @ DarkPassenger:
Don't stress about the line color/logo. Things on film typically look a different color in person not to mention the fact that production studios usually make an effort to disquise logos and even dumb-down colors for use on film. We know that's the bag - so be happy it was found, I would just suggest modifiying the colors to suit your own tastes.
    @ TheNickFox:
I would suggest removing your posted image of the knife and put a watermark on it then repost. There are a lot of dishonest people floating around that will take your work and pass it off as thier own.
Don't worry guys - my budget for this is at least a grand so I will see where that will take us for a run....but we can't talk "for sale" here, so lets leave that for an eventual JY interest thread.

On the plus side at least the inaccuracies of the bag are not that noticeable and if you go to show this prop off I hardly doubt anyone is gonna say "Is that the right color line"? .I can deal with those inaccuracies let's just get the knives straight before anything

Very true Jimmy. At least it is the right bag. If we get a Kill Knife run going, we'll only need to find that Small Bone Saw handle and blade. Pretty sure #2 is the Global Spatula.
