You lucky guys gettin' to have showtime. For some reasons we can't have it here in Canada; and since I am not too keen on downloading I wait for the dvd release (yes that means that I just saw Season 5; I already knew pretty much everything that happened in it; though this time I am going to try to avoid spoilers as much as I can; maybe I'll rewatch season 1 to 5 to make the time go faster hahahah)

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I covered a lot of this thread and saw no reference to the knife used in the opening credits used to slice the ham and cut the orange in half.

I've been wanting that thing for awhile. Apparently it's called a tomato knife. You can see the name on the blade, but I can't make it out. Can anyone grab a screenshot? Tom?

I tried to ID that knife for a couple hours one day and then went on to something else. At first I thought it was a wustof tomato knife, but I believe it's something else. I just couldn't make out the name on the blade.

I have no screenshot of the knife from the credits, but so far this Wusthof Culinar 5 inch Tomato knife fits the bill.

Nevermind. After closer inspection on the big screen, the area on the Wusthof before the serrations start is too short compared to Dexter's.

Yeah, that Wusthof is definitely not correct. Bummer. I thought I was on to something.

And just so I don't have to keep replying the same thing over and over...

I am no longer cutting the Global spatula. For those of you who I've talked with, but have not received your spatula, this includes you too. Sorry guys.

Season 6 doesn't take place immediately after season 5 ended, I think it takes place a few years later. I'm not sure what happend to the character of Sonia, maybe they will mention her briefly in a later episode.

At Comic Con they said it is one year later. They also said Sonia would not be returning, I forgot why but I think it has to do with the actress. Im surprised they didnt explain what happened to her character.

yea this season is one year after the last season which would make harrison 2 years old. a little young for preschool, but the episode was epic. best opening kill scene ever, at first i literally thought somethin happened to him when i saw blood on his kill knife and him calling 911 and then when i saw the needles come out i was stoked. death by electricution!

as long as its an M6 Bayonet (sp? lol) Vietnam Era knife. and thats what that one is, as thats what its stated as in the show when dexter is loading it up to kill freebow. rather cheap prop for once lol, and i looked at the episode and that looks pretty much dead on. and ebay has a ton of them.

I read Showtime is offering $20 Million for 2 more seasons but Michael C. Hall and his people are asking for $24 Million.
