DARTH VADER ROTJ V-Shaped bodysuit. INTREST SURVEY

Ok here we go again. I still get questions about our softparts.

I was woundering if people are interested in having a Darth Vader 2 piece and a 3 peice suit made with the V-shaped quilting.

Also people asked me if i could make it with fabric on the back of the leg... Well it can be done but is people interested in this.
The DV movie suits had fabric on the back of the legs.


1. Is there a genuine intrest in a ROTJ V-shaped chest detailed bodysuit?
2. What whould you preffer 2 peice or a 3 peice?
3. What whould you like? Leather back on the legs, or fabric like movie?

After being obsessed w/ the ANH Vader for the past 3-4 years, I have to say that the ROTJ Vader suit has been growing on me lately... so much so, that it might end up declaring the ROTJ Vader my favorite...

So - definitely - I personally would be very much interested in an ueber-accurate ROTJ under-suit. The right quilting, V-shaped chest w/ precisely positioned seaming, fabric in the back of the legs definitely preferred... and yeah... 3-piece: legs, sleeves and vest PLEASE!

The current TMP leather suit looks excellent - so, I would definitely be ready to put my name on a potential list for an accurate ROTJ suit... would be great, ifTMP could make this one happen.

Bad news is - w/ the US Dollar loosing its continuously value against the stronger European currencies, this suit probably won't be 'cheap'... but - in the end, I guess you'll get what you pay for and quality always has its price. As long as the end-product is top-notch, it'll be worth the extra-expense.

TMP - maybe you could post some photos/screen-grabs of the V-shaped ROTJ chest for people to see how much of a different look this is? I seem to remember that you've shown something along these lines before?

What? No love for the ROTJ Vader around here?

I can't believe that nobody else is proclaiming any interest in a more accurate ROTJ undersuit? I mean - I like my ANH Vader as much as the next guy... but - once you have your ANH Vader display done, the only logical consequence is to move on to building a proper ROTJ Vader!

The ROTJ Vader is clobviously vastly superior to the much over-rated ESB Vader... and his V-shaped/paneled bodysuit is among some of the things that set him appart from that boring ESB Vader... check out some ROTJ HD screen-caps and you'll notice how the panels on his vest are seamed together - extremely cool little detail...

I also find this a bit strange. People argue for less segnifican details like having a sating lining for inner robe or not. But when it comes to segnificant details then there is little action.

Well it looks like people not interested in this.

OK - of course, GH makes an excellent point... turns out, I ended up having a really hard time, finding any photos that would clearly illustrate the specific construction of the ROTJ vest... but - here's what I came up with:



While the ANH and ESB vests seem to be just one single, quilted panel in the front/chest, the ROTJ vest/chest is constructed from 3 separate, quilted panels - with the center panel being slightly v-shaped... which is the reason why the quilted stripes do not properly match up, where the side-panels attach to the center/chest piece... at least that's what I believe I am looking at at this point.

Here's a screen-cap, that shows the same thing... once you start paying attention to this particular detail, you'll be able to spot it here and there throughout the movie.



So - is this a significant detail? Something worth worrying about? In my estimation - yes... since it's the accumulation of seemingly minor details, that MAKE an above-standard Vader display and set it apart from your basic, nice-looking Vader 'costume'...

So, TMP - if you can find it in your heart - please don't get discouraged again and please try to make at least a ROTJ-specific vest happen?

Thank you for finding that photo. I tried to look trought my computer then irememberd... Damn my girlfreind spilled red wine over my laptop loosing 4 years of work on the harddrive... Well there the photo is.

For me to make just the vest is no problem.

But this project needs more people to want to be interested into this.

I ask again. Is there interest in having this vest made??
Or an entire bodysuit?

Hmm i thought it whould be more interest in this.
But sadly it looks like its not.
