Dec 27, 2010 - The Chronicles of Narnia replicas #1

I was just wondering if anyone has ever found any full sized replicas of props from the Chronicles of Narnia movies. I have found a nice replica of Peter's sword and I plan to get it, but I haven't found his shield. I know Noble Collection had a replica of Susan's horn, but they no longer have it. Does any one know where one can be found now? I would also like to have Susan's bow, arrows, and quiver along with Lucy's cordial and dagger.
Another thing I believe would be cool to have would be the Pevensie's crowns from their coronation at the end of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I have searched for them, but I haven't found anything.

To my knowledge, there aren't any full-sized replicas of Peter's Shield (although you can find a smaller shield-shaped wall-hanger that has an OK design & paint-scheme). Susan's bow/arrows/quiver & Lucy's cordial/dagger aren't (& never have been) available in full-sized replicas either.

The Pevensie's crowns were INCREDIBLY ornate & detailed. One might be able to find something "suitable" for display if one searched long enough, but I doubt you would come across anything truly screen-accurate.

    BTW, PM'd you.

I'm a Narnia fan as well, a garden full of stone Narnia creatures would be impressive. Maybe cast in light cement..My grandmother did have a big old dark house with a big wardrobe and fur coats, but the side wall never gave way to pine trees unfortunatly. We did try on several occasions.
I've only been a Narnia fan for a few years now. Its my second favorite series, Harry Potter is my favorite. Narnia is one of my all time favorite things along with Harry Potter and Doctor Who. A garden full of stone Narnia creatures would be kind of cool. I know if I had access to a big wardrobe, I would constantly be trying to get through to Narnia. Have you ever tried chanting Aslan's name? I think thats what Eustace and Jill do in the Silver Chair I believe.

I wonder why no one ever produced those in full size. I know they have them in 1/6 scale though. I would consider making some of these things, but I would have no idea where to start. I think the easiest would be Susan's bow.
I agree, I was watching the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe the other day, and I thought about whether the crowns had been replicated. I guess the only way to have some of these things would be to make them myself unfortunately.
    Thanks for the PM

Fox didn't offer any licenses either for Voyage, but I would to see these props come to life.

No chanting I'm afraid, we were only kids. It would be good if you made the props yourself. That's what this is all about. Are you any good at drawing?
I think so too, some of them would be really difficult, but I'm sure something can be done to make them. I'm kind of good at drawing.. The only thing I can't draw are people and animals because they end up looking terrible

They didn't do anything for Dawn Treader? That really stinks. I would love for them to have done more with these movies.

I'd like to know where to get Susan's horn as well since I missed out on that one too. I have Peter's sword though and I love it. I wish they would've done his shield as well and Lucy's cordial at the very least. There was an article I read interviewing the jewelry designer of the crowns and went into some of the details of how they were made, but I've lost the link to it now. If anyone wants to attempt any of the props from the films, I'd be interested. #1 on my list would be a 1:1 scale replica of the wardrobe, but that would be quite expensive. I have some experience in cabinet making, but I'm nowhere near good enough to tackle that one alone, although I've tossed the possibility of it around in my head.

I think someone made the Warrant that was in Mr Tumnus' house in the first film! It looked really cool.

Susan's Horn sometimes shows up (however rarely) in the JY, & sometimes on e-Bay. As for a full-size wardrobe, member Solo Nomo was selling one in the JY just recently. It sold for an extremely low price, & if I'd had the space & a way to retrieve it, it would have been mine...

I am going to make sure I have the money and as soon as I see Susan's horn, I am going to buy it.
I saw the full sized wardrobe too. I would've loved to have gotten it. I would've had no way to get it because he said you had to come to his house to get it and I live on the east coast and then I would'nt have had anywhere for it either.

As an archer myself, who has made arrows based on LOTR (see here) I found myself looking quite closely at Susan's bow and arrows when the first two films came on over Christmas. Knowing that Weta were responsible means that there's the same care and detail as in LOTR, so I'd love to see detailed pics if there are any available.

There is two companion books for the films that have photos of many props. I wish I had them to scan some photos, but I dont.

I have the books, & yes, they are some of the most comprehensive I've seen of their kind (alas, I don't have a way to scan them).

THIS is the best site I've found for Narnia reference photos. There are sections for each film, & each section has multiple subsections with some pretty high-resolution photos. HERE is the page that focuses on Susan's Gifts. There are some EXCELLENT (read: LARGE) photos near the bottom of the page.

The book is fantastic, but it's 95% production drawings, hardly any photos of actual props.
