Polyester is not a casting grade resin, especially for thick or large parts...

You can try using less catalyst so that it produces less heat on cure, cut your catalyst amount in half and give it twice as long to cure...

Polyester resin shrinks when it's cast so it might be that the resin is shrinking away from the surface of the mould whilst still wet as it will cure from the centre out.

You could try a clear urethane resin, opticlear is great from polytek. Or try casting it in several thin layers rather than all at once

Castin' Craft isn't the best resin, and it can be difficult to use. It's possible to get good results with it though. Follow Exoray's advice, Castin' Craft's instructions say to use less catalyst with larger pours. Also it has a weird quirk, any resin exposed to the air in an open faced mold will be tacky, and never seems to cure. They make a curing additive to apply to the exposed area to allow it to cure.
