I tell ya that has to be one of the coolest props ever. Thats like figuring out how to make a working lightsaber or a firing lawgiver with multiple rounds. But not quite as good as figuring out how to clone Angelina Jolie and sell them on ebay.

I remember that pic... it was from an eBay auction, where a guy was selling plans on an operational Boba Fett flamethrower. It was $5 or so, and I had honestly contemplated getting it, even if it was a gyp

Maybe I'm finally starting to get old, but that just looks like a BAD idea.

    Photoshop?

Unless he has a fuel tank up his butt, and some magic source of an open flame, I can't see that happening any other way.

    Call me cynical.

My thought, too. That just looks like an equation for disaster.

Actually, he specifically mentioned in the ad (and this has been a couple years, so the exact wording is a little rusty) that the trick to having a safe system was to use materials that would burn, but were not explosive

Wood, rubber cement, etc., are all flammable materials without explosive properties, so there is a possibility of constructing such a system without danger of explosion. Of course, your materials would probably have to pressurized anyway, so while it wouldn't be an explosion, if something were to go wrong you'd still have flaming debris flying all over the place

I was actually contemplating this last night... just go as Pyro on halloween

I can think of about ten guys (myself included ) that would kill for one of those ! Since we are pyromaniacs and practially destroy EVERYTHING with our Independence Day and New Year's Day fireworks fights (in an open field in the country of course :P ), this baby would be an AWESOME addition to our arsenal !

If you can shoot flames from your arm, I think you can afford to skimp on your costume just a tad

My friend wanted me to do this and I had literally one day to make and test it before doing the actual event. Yes thats me as Fett. I need to tweak the air fuel mixture some to get it right but you get the idea here.
