I just finished redoing the small link for the hundredth time. Deciding on whether to mold/cast the rails together with the link as one piece or doing them separate. I'm thinking separate would be easier during finishing.
Would like to hear if anyone has any opinions about that.

I vote separate, making them upgradeable with aluminum pieces if desired.
Same here ^. While it may mean more pieces, if it makes life easier in the end, separate seems the way to go.
I've built one of these with separate pieces, I would go one piece links if it were me but it's not so your choice.

I'd be inclined to get myself metal strips anyways, so you might not have to make these pieces for each belt you produce. will it be real screws on the buckle? I forget.

No worries... oh yes, everything will be cast solid. I may experiment a little to bring the weight of the big cartridge down a bit... but even when cast solid with no modifiers, the magnets are strong enough to hold it in place.pr3dato8 said:
