One of the cooler SF props I remember from a movie of my childhood was the LOOKER device (Light Ocular-Oriented Kinetic Emotive Responses) in the Michael Crichton 1981 movie Looker. It was essentially a stun gun of sorts that when it was fired at a target's eyes, it could make the user seem invisible and cause the victim to lose track of time in a trance-like state. There were some rather cute gags in the film involving the gun and how it was used (such as beating the crap out of the person that just got zapped).
The film kept the lighting of the gun to a relative minimum as they tried to obscure its details a bit. But I am curious if anyone here has managed to do a replica of the LOOKER gun as it might be nice to have one, preferably with a working strobe flasher in the front.
