Thanks for the welcome.. and apologies. Not exactly sure how everything works around here.

A few more pics would go a long way to getting the ball rolling.

Ok, I found a Nerf gun that already had a reddish LED housing inside it & bought 2 to add the 2nd light. I do know this isn't going to be 100% screen accurate but I was wondering if one of you kind folks could point me in the right direction on what supplies would be best to build around the body of the Nerf gun to kinda make the body more rectangular? This is my first build like this & kinda lost as to what would be best to make it look good.

Ok here's the pic from what I have so far.



My original question is what materials would be good to kinda cover all the yellow & make it look more like the gun? I've seen that other thread with the Alpha Meson blaster & it's awesome but that's more of a build from scratch. This is more of a cover up the toy project.

I have been seeing a lot of people talk about craft foam? I was originally thinking I might try that mesh you use to patch holes in drywall with some kind of paint-able plaster, but I dunno. Just curious if anyone had any suggestions?

Any other refrence on this?
Offhand looks pretty easy since it's so box shaped.

So this is SUPER rough but Halloween's approaching & I gotta get more stuff done. this is what I came up with, may polish it up some more after the holiday.
