I'm trying to figure out what the grapple gun 's base component is?

I suspect that it's an old speargun but don't know much about the subject and thought I'd try here before spending hours scouring on ebay to find the correct model.

THere pics are from Propstore of london's site.

    Any help would rock!

Looks more like a "Seac Sub Asso 30 Pneumatic Speargun" to me.
ThereΒ΄s one on ebay right now

Not sure about the model, but the brand seems to nail it.
The prop-dept cut down the barrel, added greeblies and painted it...

I'd have to disagree with you both and say it is an older model Cressi Star SL.
Can't find a mares that looks right and the seac doesn't have the lanyard ring. I think. Maybe.

Here's my Mares (I've made a few corrections to it since, as well as put back the lanyard ring). Don't forget that it's now a 30 year old piece of diving gear, and more difficult to find)...

I guess there is really nothing you don't have firearm wise. Great job again.
