    Jun 19, 2012 - ALIEN QUEEN LIFE-SIZE FIGURE Work IN PROGRESS #1
    Here is something Extreme Im working on for the last few weeks, still not done yet. i have never work on something this Big!
    Life-sized Alien Queen From SWS Mold, made by Distortions in the 90s
    everything looks great from Original mold, except the face, which looks different, it seem they mold the crown with the face together

    There have only been 5 ever sold of those Queens. (Real Mold ones from SW Molds & Distortions JFYI) The Queen were made by Distortions, Distortions who DID own the license to make them no longer makes these.

    1/1 Full-Sized scale Replica from Movie "ALIENS"
    stand at 16 feet or more
    20 feet wide with the tail.
    Her head is 8feet long.
    Heres sneak Peek, i will update this thread with WIP daily. :smokin:
    it will take atleast 3-5 people to work on her, build/paint. stay tune~

    the top body pics, the main body, it has steel armature inside, very thick/heavy. each joint section has bolt screw.
    still in cleaning stage.

    I usually just stick with movie accurate colors. But i wish test something before go all black
    yes, i like the movie version too but i see too many same one out there-similar piece over and over, i want to try something new.
    today i added few more details on the crown, not complete yet, only did a few on the Top middle section, the sides not done, still alot to go, im working little by little each day, Iam the only 1 person painting it with Fulltime job. :laugh:

    still on her Crown Head, not fully finish yet, but i added some details, heres some pics....

    im thinking gett rid of some lines on the head

    i begin to think she is more like "Thunder" queen, hahaha

    no i did not make this, this was made by Distortions in the 1996, and it was for a limited time, i was told 5 ppl actually brought it from them, only 5 were ever made.

    i got this from an auction with fair price.

    i never like the factory paintjob, too plain, so i decide clean it up and start new paint on each parts.

    right now it is @ my storge room in the pic, start paint

    This is a 1:1 piece, a couple of layers of paint are not going to hide any detail. if it turn out not what i like, i just redo it.

    OMG! That thing is awesome!
    I think I must agree though, that the 'lightning' effect needs toning down a little. I'ts a great effect, but a little too prominent.
    But at the end of the day this build is for you and to your own tastes.
